Narrative function

One axis, two punches. A thought that arrives and leaves, a sting, a joke: crash in, crash out, same breath.

Hold at neither end for long. A funeral may not want it.

A slow zoom that wanders is not a yoyo. Crash zoom in is a one-way punch; this is a punch and a release.

How it works

Locked body, zoom lens. In then out (or out then in) on one axis, short duration.

Comic or violent depending on speed. Prompt: Yo-yo zoom on [Subject], in and out on the same axis, a punch then a release, optical breathing.

When to use it

Use it for a sting or a joke on one optical axis. Do not use a slow hunt and call it a yoyo.
